African "brain drain"?

You have to admire the idealism of youth but unfortunately the harshness of reality clouds such optimism.

Kidist has long-planned to be a math or physics professor. She is currently a student at AIMS and will go on to get her PhD in optimal control theory. Beyond her personal ambitions, she dreams of stemming the brain drain of scientists from Africa by creating a network of researchers and scientists who will work together to develop their continent.
